WAVEYA, an South Korean dance group which is comprised of two sisters. It is referred to as “Waveya”. The older sister is nicknamed Ari but her real name is Jang Eun Young. The younger sister, nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young, is called Jang You Sun. The dance group was established more than 10 years ago. The group has seen numerous changes throughout the time. At first there were several female members of the group. The group began posting videos of their dance routines on a Korean portal in the year 2006. Waveya became popular following the launch of their YouTube channel that has accumulated over 3.5 million subscribers since it was launched in the year 2011. Waveya’s videos feature dance routines that incorporate covers from American and Brazilian performers, as well the choreography they have created themselves.
There have been many changes to the group’s lineup since the group’s formation. The popularity of Waveya grew after they released the video on YouTube in which they danced to Psy’s Gangnam Style. Waveya has created YouTube videos, performed concerts and acted in commercials since when. Waveya has appeared in concert in a variety of countries, including the United States, Korea, Indonesia, Canada and France.
