WAVEYA is an international dance group from South Korea, consisting of two sisters. The older sister is referred to as Ari but her real name is Jang Eun Young. The younger sister, nicknamed MiU and real name Jang You Sun is Jang Eun Young. Her real name is Jang You Sun. The group began dancing around a decade ago. Since then, the group has undergone numerous modifications. At first there were several female members of the group. The group started uploading videos of their dances on an online Korean portal in 2006. Waveya was a hit after they created their YouTube channel which has grown to over 3.5 million viewers since it was launched in the year 2011. In their videos, Waveya usually perform dance cover versions of various K-Pop, American or Brazilian performers, as well as their own original choreography.
Since the start of the group There have been a lot of modifications to the group’s lineup. Waveya’s popularity started to increase after they posted the video on YouTube, in which they danced to Psy’s hit song Gangnam Style. Waveya has made YouTube videos, performed at concerts and has appeared in commercials since when. Waveya has performed at concerts in a variety of countries like Korea as well as the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, Canada, France, Spain, Poland, Italy, Turkey, Germany and Sweden.
